7 dreamy days in Bora Bora

Bora Bora is incredible—there’s no two ways about it! We spent what felt like a ridiculous amount of time researching the island and preparing our itinerary for our trip to this dream island. If you’re a traveler who wants to both relax and sightsee (Bora Bora is spectacularly beautiful both on-land and underwater), we think this 7 day itinerary is a great starting point for planning your time in paradise.

Day 1

Land at the Bora Bora airport and take the hotel ferry to your resort. Breathe in the fresh air and enjoy an ice cold glass of locally-sourced pineapple juice. You have arrived!

We wholeheartedly recommend the Conrad Hilton- learn more about our stay in an overwater bungalow here.

Day 2

We got a good night’s sleep and woke up early for our first excursion: a half day snorkel adventure with Pure Snorkeling by Reef Discovery. Read our full review of Pure Snorkeling here.

Day 3

After a relaxing morning, we spent the afternoon on a 4×4 trip up and around Mount Otemanu. Click here for the full review of our bumpy ride with Tupuna Mountain Safari, which included a stop at the world famous Bloody Mary’s restaurant.

Day 4

We traveled with Bora Bora Shark and Ray Snorkel Safari to some snorkel spots with black tip reef sharks and sting rays. Swimming with sharks is super nerve wracking and really gets the adrenaline pumping!

Day 5

Pretty much every resort on the island has its own pristine beach, and the Hilton was no exception. We spent the day lounging on the sand and taking a dip in the resort’s infinity pool, which is conveniently located next to the bar. Be forewarned that drinks and food on the island are very pricey (we had some serious sticker shock when we discovered that a can of Coke was $7 USD!).

Day 6

We loved Pure Snorkeling so much that we took this excursion again. Our guide brought us to different spots this time, which gave us the chance to see even more coral and sea life.

Day 7

We flew from Bora Bora to Moorea on Day 7. Moorea was gorgeous, but Bora Bora is a truly special place: a breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime destination that we won’t soon forget.
