This big octopus changed colors a few times to try to camouflage itself in the coral reef near the Captain Cook monument in Kealakekua Bay (Kona, Hawaii). It was quite big so I’m glad it didn’t decide to swim anywhere near me! It was amazing to witness this in nature.

We swam with a pod of 50 spinner dolphins in open water. We followed them part of their way home as they returned from a night of hunting. This way we did not disturb them while they slept and we felt better about not supporting their being in captivity. You can read more details here.
