There are so many incredible things to do on the Big Island of Hawaii. This 4K video of our adventures on the Big Island includes volcanoes, a black sand beach, snorkeling, dolphins, manta rays and more.
The snorkeling at Hanauma Bay is just incredible. You walk a few dozen feet into the water from the beach and you are surrounded by sooooo many colorful fish. There are a lot of different species, and also a lot of fish. This is one of the best places in the world to go snorkeling. You can read the detailed account here.
If you are of a certain generation, and remember being a child in awe when you first saw giant dinosaurs roam the big screen in swaths of greenery, well, you can relive part of that memory by going to Kualoa Ranch on Oahu. This is where those scenes were filmed and the real thing is definitely awe inspiring. If you are ever going to go horseback riding, this is THE place to go just for the views. Some video from our hike to Manoa Falls in Honolulu, Hawaii. It takes about a 2 hour hike through the jungle to get to the waterfall. The jungle there is quite beautiful.
The jungle you hike through to get to Manoa Falls is very lush and beautiful. Some of the trees are so incredibly big; the huge trees make the setting feel like a scene our of Jurassic Park. Fortunately, no man eating creatures in this jungle as far as we could tell.
