Touring Moorea on an outrigger canoe

A half-day excursion with Moorea Miti Tours is a unique and tranquil way to experience some of the island’s highlights. We sailed in and around Cook’s Bay in 35-foot traditional outrigger canoe, with several stops including one for snorkeling with stingrays and reef sharks, and another enjoying locally-grown fruit and yummy drinks on a sandbar.

For us, the highlight of the trip was the delicious lunch our guides prepared that we ate at a picnic table with our feet in the water. Lunch on the motu provided a great chance to get to know our fellow travelers, who were visiting Moorea from all corners of the globe. Our guide took photos throughout the trip and emailed them to the full group free of charge, which was a really nice touch (especially considering how few tour companies provide complimentary photography!). All in all, we had a lovely and memorable day on the water with Moorea Miti Tours.
